Walking since Sunday! That's three whole days of bipedalism. Of course, it's only in fits and starts--Mazin still covers most of his ground on hands and knees, but he loves the walking game if you remind him he can do it. Right now he mostly does "The Frankenstein," as you see in the photo: arms out in front, ready to grab on to anything. He doesn't quite trust those two feet yet. If you think about it, walking really is a remarkable feat (ha ha). So much balance and coordination involved. But each day he takes more and more steps without tumbling or chickening out. I think he's up to about ten or so. I wonder when he'll give up crawling? By his first birthday? Hard to imagine... Maybe when he's walking he'll decide it's also time to sleep through the night and eat green things. For now, he seems to be in no hurry to become a toddler. He's still my Itty-Bitty. Although, these days Pumpkin Head is the nickname that most often comes out of my mouth. His head is so big, no wonder he has to do The Frankenstein... My little Pumpkin Head. I think if he would hold still long enough, you could see him grow.
